I didn’t just learn how to fish, I was raised on the water. For over 40 years, I’ve been fishing side by side with my dad, learning the rhythms of the rivers, the habits of the fish, and the quiet lessons that only time on the water can teach. What started as a childhood tradition turned into a lifelong passion, and eventually, a calling to share that experience with others. Over the decades, I’ve come to know the many California Lakes, the Delta, Feather River, Sacramento River, and Yuba River like the back of my hand. I’ve fished them in every season, in all kinds of conditions, and I understand how they change, day to day, tide to tide, and year to year. That kind of knowledge doesn’t come from a map or a report, it comes from a lifetime spent out there.
